Yesterday, my boss - who is a workaholic (but an absolute delight to work with) - informed me that her boss had instructed her to "pick your nose up from off the ground." Which basically translated to quit working so much and live a little. So, during lunch, she scooped me up and took me to the Renwick Museum, which she hadn't been to in a couple of years.
The museum was only a few blocks away and, as we made our way over, we took the scenic route and cut through Lafayette Park, which is a beautiful little park literally right across the street from the White House. I kept thinking to myself, I have GOT to get out more!
